What makes me different from other designers, and what I bring to the table.
I am a large advocate for environmental sustainability and full product lifecycle considerations, so this plays a large part in my design and conceptualization processes. I am C2C certified, and am working on INARTE and biomimicry certifications as well.
When I design, I seek to make my products look, feel, and work in a way that is natural and intuitive. A user from any environment and culture should see a physical form and know what it does, how it does it, and feel that it does so in an effective manner.
Many designers start their ideation far in advance of product research, but I feel that detailed research is key in determining exactly what the target audience would want to see and use. Without this, personal judgements and ideas cloud real advancements in concept and function.
Another crucial element to me is the full consideration of the user's life workflow. It is crucial to analyze where in their life the product is, how they feel before they interact with it, and where they go afterwards. This is very important to creating a product that has a sustainable user lifespan.
